The first premiere of the National Theatre Ballet this season will be the famous ballet The Rite of Spring. Under this title, audiences will have the opportunity to see a set of several new choreographies created by Petr Zuska. The mixed bill will open with a current of classical and neoclassical dance to the splendid strains of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1. The second part of the evening will be given over to “star” duets that have brought fame to our foremost soloists at many international gala performances. The programme will culminate in Stravinsky’s ravishingly dynamic and magical The Rite of Spring.
