Visit of Theatre Interiors

Individual tours of the interiors theatres

Clients who are interested not only in music but also in architecture and decorative arts can go on individual tours of the interior of the Estates Theatre in English, German and French languages (groups only). A short musical performance and welcomedrink could be arranged upon request. Note that the dates of visit depend on the time schedule of the theatre. The Estates Theatre is one ot the most beautiful historical theatre building in Europe. It has been invariably connected with the name of W.A. Mozart, who personally conducted the premiere of his world-famous opera Don Giovanni (1787) on this stage.

We also offer visits of the National Theatre (groups only). As the tour is in Czech language we can arrange an interpreter. A short concert and glass of sekt could be ordered.. The National Theatre constitutes the embodiment of the Czech nation´s desire to come into its own. People from all strata of society contributed generously to a fund to build this symbol of nationhood. The fire of the theatre was regarded as an all-nation catastrophe and generated immense determination to raise funds once more. The National Theatre was officially opened in 1883 with a performance of Smetana´s opera Libuse.

The Prague State Opera resides in the building which on January 5, 1888 was opened as a Prague German stage. With its spacious auditorium and neo-Rococo decoration, this theater building is among the most beautiful in Europe. As the tour is in Czech language we can arrange an interpreter. Note that the dates of visit depend on the time schedule of the theatre.

It is possible to visit the interior of National Marionette Theatre with exposition of special big marionettes. A short performance from the unique version of Mozart´s Don Giovanni is available.
